WCRAN, in collaboration with the University of Toronto, organized an event yesterday titled “Women’s Access to Justice” at the University of Toronto. During this program, the findings of a research study conducted between late 2025 and February 2026 were presented and unveiled. The study highlights the current severe conditions, the lack of women’s access to judicial and legal systems, and the complete dominance of gender apartheid in Afghanistan.
This gathering was attended by human rights activists, journalists, diplomats, academics, legal experts, and civil society advocates.
It was a great honor for Tahera Nasiri the founder of the Women's Movement towards Freedom to take on the responsibility of moderating and managing this important and specialized event, held during such a critical time. Being in this role was an opportunity to renew her commitment to the values and ideals for which we continue to fight.
We stand strong and continue our struggle until human rights, justice, equality, and human dignity are achieved for the deprived women of our homeland.
