The Women’s Movement Towards Freedom, reaffirming the universal values of human rights and the principles of equality, justice, and human dignity, hereby issues this official resolution alongside the launch of the Global 16 Days of Activism Campaign to End Violence Against Women:

1. Firm Condemnation of Gender-Based Violence:

The Women’s Movement Towards Freedom strongly condemns all forms of gender-based violence, including physical, psychological, economic, structural, and social violence against women and girls, considering it a clear violation of fundamental human rights.

2. Demand to End the Culture of Impunity and Ensure Accountability:

The movement regards the immediate elimination of the culture of impunity as essential and calls on national and international institutions to take concrete and effective steps to prosecute perpetrators, establish mechanisms for accountability, and ensure protection for victims.

3. Support for Women’s Free and Equitable Access to Justice:

We emphasize that women must have access to legal, health, psychological, and support services without fear, discrimination, or intimidation. Any barriers that restrict this access must be removed.

4. Promoting Awareness and Education to Transform Violence-Inducing Mindsets:

The movement stresses the need for broad investment in education, public awareness, and cultural transformation. Strengthening programs that promote values of respect, equality, and peaceful coexistence is essential for eradicating violence.

5. Strengthening Women’s Participation and Leadership in Decision-Making:

The Women’s Movement Towards Freedom believes that meaningful participation of women in political, social, economic, and cultural spheres is a prerequisite for peaceful and violence-free societies. We call for active, influential, and non-discriminatory representation of women in decision-making structures.

6. Defending Women’s Right to Education, Work, and Social Participation:

Depriving women of education, employment, freedom of movement, and social engagement constitutes a form of systematic violence. The movement stresses the complete removal of these restrictions as a fundamental condition for empowerment and societal progress.

7. Call for National and International Cooperation to End Violence:

The movement urges civil society, media, human rights organizations, governments, and all citizens to take collective action and collaborate effectively to eliminate violence against women and to fulfill their commitments to women’s rights.

8. Renewed Commitment to the Fight for Gender Justice:

The Women’s Movement Towards Freedom reaffirms its determination to continue the persistent struggle for gender justice, the elimination of discrimination, and the creation of a safe, equal, and humane environment for all women and girls.
