This day serves as a painful reminder of suffering, tragedy, human rights violations, displacement, poverty, and countless other hardships.

The Coalition of Afghan Women’s Protest Movements held a protest program in Islamabad, Pakistan, under the title “August 15: The Darkest Day for the People of Afghanistan.” On this day, women protesters voiced their concerns and objections regarding the blatant violation of human rights in Afghanistan, as well as the marginalization of Afghan women from society, schools, and universities.

These brave women called on the international community to take concrete steps to ensure the rights of Afghan women. The program also emphasized the importance of securing the rights of all Afghan communities.

The event featured poetry, speeches, protest songs, and other expressions of dissent, concluding with the reading of a formal resolution.
